India opener Abhishek Sharma has revealed that his mentor Yuvraj Singh was delighted when he got out for a duck on his T20I debut against Zimbabwe here as the swashbuckling former all-rounder, for reasons best known to him, felt it was a "good start".

In a thrilling second T20I match at the Harare Sports Club, India, led by Shubman Gill, secured a commanding 100-run victory over Zimbabwe, levelling the five-match series 1-1. Abhishek Sharma's explosive century and disciplined bowling by the Indian bowlers were the highlights of the game, as Zimbabwe struggled to chase down a massive target of 235 runs.

This series marks a significant departure from the usual lineup, as the national selectors have decided to rest all the senior stars currently engaged in the T20 World Cup in the West Indies.

"They're like, 'Go out there and express yourself. Play as aggressively as you can, we'll back you.' I think that matters a lot," said Abhishek, who has hit 35 sixes so far, the highest by any batter this season.
