Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticised the Indian Olympic Association over its president's remarks on wrestler Vinesh Phogat's disqualification, while also taking a veiled swipe at the Modi government, suggesting they would win an Olympics for political conspiracy without competing.

Uttar Pradesh Minister and Nishad Party Chief Sanjay Nishad has criticised the Samajwadi Party (SP) for remaining silent over the rape of a minor girl in Ayodhya and has accused the party of attempting to ‘protect’ SP leader Moin Khan, who is the main accused in the case.

"If these people win 400 (Lok Sabha seats), then they will bring back the farm laws, take away farmers' produce and sell it to industrialists," he said. The SP leader also hit out at the BJP for calling the opposition INDIA bloc "INDI alliance".
