Crowd unrest forces Gandhi and Yadav to leave public meeting in Prayagraj

A chaotic scene took place on Sunday at a joint public meeting held by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Prayagraj.

 

The leaders left without addressing the crowd due to the unrest.

The turmoil erupted at a gathering in Padila, located in the Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

 

Reports indicate that workers from both Congress and the Samajwadi Party lost control and tried to storm the stage.

 

Despite repeated appeals for calm from both Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, the crowd remained unruly. Police and security personnel struggled to manage the situation.

Later, at a rally in Mungari, Karachhana, within the Prayagraj district under the Allahabad parliamentary seat, a similar situation occurred. An excited crowd again broke through barricades and attempted to reach the stage.
