Infosys founder Narayana Murty and wife Sudha Murty exercise voting rights in Bengaluru

The second phase of Lok Sabha elections witnessed the active participation of renowned tech entrepreneur and Infosys co-founder, Narayana Murty accompanied by his wife Sudha Murty at the BES polling station in Bengaluru.

 

Sudha Murty, a celebrated author and philanthropist in her own right said, "I want to tell everyone don't sit at home, come out and vote, choose your leader. I always feel that urban people vote less as compared to those in rural areas. I request youngsters to come out and vote."

Narayana Murty arrived at the polling station to exercise his constitutional right. 

 

The couple's presence added a fervour to the democratic process in the state capital.

 

The state of Karnataka, a key battleground in the Lok Sabha elections, witnessed more than 10% turnout till 9 a.m on Friday as voters queued up to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates.
