This hamlet has 111 voters and each one of them turned up at the only polling booth.

According to election officials, the voter percentage till 3 PM was about 50.93 per cent. The voting that began at 7am, will end by 6 pm.

Besides them, Congress stalwart A K Antony, KPCC president K Sudhakaran, LDF convener E P Jayarajan, and CPI(M)'s Thomas Isaac also came in the morning to exercise their democratic right.

Citing that in the previous Lok Sabha polls, the voter turnout in Bengaluru was only 54% (much below average), BBHA President PC Rao said that though the city had a good number of educated and young voters, it had posted "very less percentage".

A Prasad, a scientist at IMD Bengaluru, speaking on the condition, stated, "Although the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has not included Bengaluru in the list of heat wave affected areas, the city does satisfy one of the heat wave conditions – the departure from normal temperatures by at least 4.5 degrees."

Sudha Murty, a celebrated author and philanthropist in her own right said, "I want to tell everyone don't sit at home, come out and vote, choose your leader. I always feel that urban people vote less as compared to those in rural areas. I request youngsters to come out and vote."

A total of 88 parliamentary constituencies go to Lok Sabha polls.
