The TMC said the results are a reflection of people’s faith in the "pro-people policies" of the Mamata Banerjee government and a decisive mandate against the BJP in the state.

Bishnupur (SC) marked the highest polling at 73.55%, followed by Jhargram (ST) at 72.26%, Tamluk at 71.63%, Kanthi at 71.36%, Ghatal at 71.34%, Medinipur at 67.91%, Bankura at 67.41%, and Purulia at 66.06%.

Ghatal recorded the highest polling at 39.21 per cent, followed by Jhargram (38.24 per cent), Tamluk (38.05 per cent), Kanthi (38.03 per cent), Bishnupur (37.98 per cent), Bankura (35.84 per cent), Medinipur (34.41 per cent) and Purulia (33.16 per cent).
