Five security personnel, including two from Nagaland, have died in the last one week in Rohtas, and of them, four died due to heatstroke, said DIG Naveen Chandra Jha.

Family members said they took the decision to vote before their mother's cremation as she had died and would not return, but they would get a chance to vote again after five years.

Patliputra recorded the highest turnout at 40.78 per cent, followed by Karakat (39.53), Buxar (37.79), Sasaram (37.12), Jehanabad (36.66), Arrah (33.07), Nalanda (32.94) and Patna Sahib (29.22) till 1 pm.
