In the Gujarat Lok Sabha elections, voters overcame physical challenges to participate, including using legs to cast votes and voting on stretchers. Non-resident Gujaratis returned to their hometowns to vote, while the Election Commission introduced initiatives like wedding-like decor and selfie points aimed at making voting memorable.

The state Election Commission ensured that voting was a celebratory exercise by decorating some polling stations like wedding venues and setting up selfie points for voters to make their day memorable.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde claimed that the ruling Shiv Sena-BJP-NCP alliance walked the extra mile to grant 10% reservation to the Maratha community. He slammed the MVA ,comprising Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (UBT), for opposing the decision.

According to an official statement, the alleged incident occurred in Bhor town of the district. NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar accused individuals associated with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP of distributing cash to voters.

On Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik, expressed confidence that people would choose PM Modi for a third term as Prime Minister. Meanwhile, Goa Governor P. S. Sreedharan Pillai and First Lady Adv. Reetha Sreedharan exercised their voting rights at Government Primary & High School in Dona Paula, Goa.

"Your one vote in this election will elevate India to the third-largest economy, augment earnings, bolster youth employment, and fortify the nation," Modi proclaimed. Drawing a sharp dichotomy between the BJP's development-centric agenda and the purported divisive politics of the opposition, PM Modi cautioned against the perils of electoral polarization.

Among those who cast their votes early in the morning included BJP's North Goa sitting MP Shripad Naik, the saffron party's South Goa candidate Pallavi Dempo and Congress nominees Ramakant Khalap and Viriato Fernandes from North Goa and South Goa respectively.

"In a robust democracy, the Constitution should be at the forefront, and elections should be conducted with honesty and transparency across the nation. As the third phase of voting progresses, it is imperative that it is carried out peacefully," Sule said.

Reflecting on the essence of Indian democracy, Governor Pillai emphasized its global significance, citing India's pivotal role as the "mother of democracy" after the landmark 1977 elections.
