The bus was carrying 30 people, all relatives, from Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr when it collided with the truck near Mohra village on the Ambala-Delhi Highway early on Thursday.

Ten roundtrip journeys are planned, with departures from Katra occurring every Friday at 9:30 pm, reaching Guwahati by 7:10 pm on Sundays. 

A complete shutdown was observed on Wednesday against a proposed ropeway project in Katra, the base camp for the pilgrims visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop the Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district.
