The Himachal Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus, with seven persons on board, was on its way to Diltari from Kuddu when the accident took place around 6:45 am.  

Two Indian students in the United States were killed on the spot in a head-on traffic collision near Lake Pleasant in Arizona, according to police.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed profound grief and offered condolences over the tragic school bus accident in Haryana's Mahendragarh district, which claimed the lives of five children and left 15 others injured.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, they said. 

Most of the road accident victims were in the age group of 20 to 40 years, Dr Farooque said. Since this age group is the most active and productive, their becoming victims of accidents has a major impact not only on their families but also on the country's economy.

The Maharashtra government revealed that 147 individuals lost their lives in road accidents in Mumbai from January to June 2023.
