The Calcutta High Court had allowed the BJP to stage a dharna outside the Raj Bhavan on July 14 for four hours in protest of post-poll violence.

WB Governor CV Ananda Bose had filed a defamation case against CM Banerjee on June 28, a day after she claimed women complained to her that they were afraid to visit the Raj Bhavan.

Governor CV Ananda Bose's statement came days after he ordered the police personnel to vacate the Raj Bhavan premises. They, however, are still on duty in the Governor House.

The BJP leader intended to present the Governor with the grievances of those claiming to be victims of violence following the recent elections.

This decision follows a political gathering held at the Gour Banga University, led by Bratya Basu, along with other Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and political leaders on March 30.

One of them is Contai MP Sisir Adhikari, the father of BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and the other is younger son Tamluk MP Dibyendu have praised the governor for realising the situation of the tormented women of Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district.
