Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired a meeting on Monday to discuss the upcoming Kanya Kelavani Mahotsav and School Praveshotsav 2024. During the meeting, Patel announced that more than 32 lakh children will be admitted to school during the festival, which will take place from June 26 to June 28.

Amidst the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG 2024 examination, students in Rajkot, Gujarat, took to the streets in protest against the decision for a re-examination. The issue began after allegations of irregularities and paper leaks surfaced following the declaration of results on June 4, earlier than the scheduled announcement date of June 14.

In response to the tragic fire at the TRP Gaming Zone in Rajkot, which resulted in the loss of 27 lives, including children, the Gujarat Home Minister has called for comprehensive action against those responsible. Subhash Trivedi, head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), confirmed this during a press briefing on Wednesday.

Kshatriya leader Devendra Jadeja said “Today we had a meeting at Gota, Ahmedabad. In the meeting, we thanked everyone for their active participation and contribution to the community. In the meeting, we have decided to pause the protest till the 4th of June."

He said “I am passing through the most difficult time of my public life of 40 years. My one remark has generated huge waves during the election. This is the most painful period of my life.”
