The re-polling conducted in the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat witnessed a significant voter turnout of 81.16 percent across six polling stations. This exercise was deemed necessary after the Election Commission of India declared the previous polls at these stations as void.

Incidents of damaging of EVMs and VVPATs before the completion of voting led to this development.

Voting is underway in 857 polling stations, spanning 13 assembly segments in eight districts.
