Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu must be mighty pleased with the liberal assistance announced by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who presented her seventh consecutive budget in the Parliament on Tuesday.

Another critical area Kumar identified was youth skilling and apprenticeship development, noting the lag in India's education system relative to demand. "Our apprenticeship program needs a far bigger push, and access to high-quality education should be ensured. These factors will ultimately determine the employability and employment generation potential of our economy," he added.

According to sources familiar with the development, prominent leaders such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S. Jaishankar, who managed the Home, Defence, Finance, and External Affairs ministries respectively, will continue in their roles. 

MPs from south India — Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and others — will likely get inducted into the new government.

This decision, reached at a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting, comes ahead of the government’s swearing-in ceremony on Sunday.

The TDP is expected to secure one Cabinet minister position along with two ministers of state posts in Modi’s Cabinet. However, the party had initially lobbied for a total of four berths – two Cabinet and two MoS posts.

The swearing-in is likely to be held on Sunday, sources said.  

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is gearing up for a crucial meeting of its newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) tomorrow at the central hall of the Parliament, according to sources. The agenda of the meeting will focus on discussions regarding the formation of the government by the grand alliance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to take the oath of office for his third consecutive term on June 9. Sources have indicated that the ceremony may take place at 6 PM. This follows the victory of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the recent Lok Sabha elections, with the results announced on June 4.
