He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of not sanctioning money for the Hyderabad Metro Rail expansion in the Budget.

In a press conference, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Bengal has been allocated Rs 13,941 crore for railways in the current financial year.

During a meeting in the capital, Sarma expressed gratitude for the budget’s provisions, which he described as pivotal for a "Viksit Bharat."

“I myself have met the prime minister thrice. I even called him bade bhai, hoping that he would act like one and handhold the state which as the leader of the nation, he should. But he remained unmoved,” Revanth Reddy said. 

The budget, presented yesterday, has failed to address critical concerns for homebuyers such as high interest rates on home loans and annual stamp duty increases, leading to widespread disappointment.

The Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, dismissed the accusations as "outrageous," asserting that no previous budgets, including those presented by the Congress, had mentioned all states.
