He maintained that achieving a high strike rate is crucial, heaping praises on players who can score at 2.5 or even 3 runs per ball.

Former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu believes that Rohit Sharma would not have been replaced by Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians captain had the BCCI named him skipper for the T20 World Cup last year itself.

Sidhu announced on Tuesday that he will return to the ‘Commentary Box’ for the next IPL season. This announcement has come when the country is already in the election mode and General Elections have already been announced. 

After a decade-long stint in the unforgiving world of politics, Sidhu and his 'Sidhuisms' will be back on air starting with the IPL, which precedes the T20 World Cup in June.

"I can tell you one thing about who had approached (me). Bhagwant Mann sahab had come to me. If he tells, I will even tell him the place (where they met)," Sidhu said.
