The MoU was signed between DG NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh and Executive Director (Corporate Communication & Corporate Planning), NPCIL Shri BVS Shekhar on Thursday.

Expanding the NCC, now an elective course under the NEP 2020, resonates with youth aspirations to become future leaders. This plan includes establishing four new Group Headquarters and two NCC units, alongside proposing ex-servicemen employment as instructors to leverage their expertise.

Annual defense production has surged to Rs 1.10 lakh crore from Rs 40,000 crore in 2014, with defense exports rising to Rs 16,000 crore. A target of Rs 50,000 crore in exports by 2028-29 has been set.
