The Madhya Pradesh Government has greenlit a substantial electricity subsidy amounting to about Rs 24,420 crores for various consumer categories. Additionally, the state has given the nod for over 46,000 new vacancies in the health sector. These decisions were made during a state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Bhopal.

During the final phase of Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh, villages in Shajapur boycotted voting due to lack of development, citing absence of Narmada Project benefits and road connectivity. Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, where voters will cast their ballots for nine parliamentary seats. A total of 127 candidates, including nine women, are contesting in this phase, scheduled to begin at 7 am tomorrow.

With a voter turnout of 31.77 percent recorded till 1 pm and 43.01% till 3 pm, Maharashtra trailed behind other states in polling intensity. Notably, Parbhani stood out with the highest voter turnout of 33.88 percent during the same period.
