Nineteen districts continue to grapple with the aftermath of flooding, landslides, and storms, which have claimed 37 lives and left one person missing.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) reported that one person drowned in the Khairabari area of Udalguri district. This brings the total number of fatalities from this year's floods, landslides, and storms to 36.

Karimganj is the hardest hit, with 95,315 people affected. Nagaon follows with 4,982 individuals impacted, Dhemaji with 3,621, and Barpeta with 1,109 residents suffering from the floods.

Since May 28, six people have lost their lives due to floods, rain, and storms in the state.

A total of 77.26 lakh voters, comprising 38.95 lakh males, 38.61 lakh females, and 179 third gender individuals, are eligible to cast their votes across 9,133 polling stations.
