A delegation of FORDA (Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association) met with Union Health Minister JP Nadda at his residence on Tuesday night. The association said the decision to end the strike, effective from Wednesday morning, was taken in the interest of the welfare of patients.

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda addressing the Lok Sabha on Monday, stated, "In 2013-14, the budget was Rs 33,278 crore, and today it stands at Rs 90,958 crore, marking an increase of 164% . This demonstrates our prioritisation of the health sector."

Nadda’s meeting with other BJP leaders is likely to involve discussions on future party programmes in the UT and preparations for Assembly, local bodies, Municipal, and panchayat elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a sweeping victory in the April 19 Assembly elections, winning 46 out of 60 seats, as per the Election Commission's data.

The 63-year-old took oath as a Cabinet minister, becoming the sole representative from Himachal Pradesh in the BJP-led government. It is not yet known which ministry will be assigned to him.

In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a proactive campaign aimed at soliciting suggestions from the public to shape the party's manifesto. 

Encouraging party workers to mobilise voters and secure support for a renewed mandate for the BJP, Nadda underscored that citizens, particularly first-time voters of the past decade, have experienced governance marked by development rather than the corruption prevalent in previous administrations.

The state had four vacant Rajya Sabha seats, and all four BJP nominees had submitted their nomination papers.  

The meeting will kick off with BJP president JP Nadda's opening speech, followed by Prime Minister Modi's closing speech on Sunday. Modi is expected to outline the party's campaign strategy and urge members to work towards winning 370 seats in the elections.

The meeting will aim to energize its cadre and set the agenda for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, anticipated in April-May.
