One of the major setbacks for BJP is the loss of Union Minister Arjun Munda, who was defeated by a huge margin of 149675 votes by Congress’ Kalicharan Munda in Khunti constituency. Kalicharan Munda has lost the 2019 election by a narrow margin of a few hundred votes.

Rajmahal registered the highest turnout at 47.76 per cent, followed by Dumka (46.90) and Godda (45.91)
