Sarma, who met with the Governor in Guwahati, expressed his admiration for Bose’s actions during their conversation. He later shared a brief video of the meeting on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he pointed the significance of Bose's role in defending constitutional values. 

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose's direction came at a virtual meeting on Tuesday, during which he said the security should be enhanced for woman students and teaching and non-teaching staff.

A post on ‘X’ reads that CV Ananda Bose, who is from Kerala, has spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the rescue operations.

According to Article 361, criminal proceedings cannot be instituted in a court against the Governor during his term of office.

CM Banerjee had alleged that she received complaints from women who felt unsafe going to Raj Bhavan after reports of certain activities there.

“These four officials were present in the Raj Bhavan when the alleged incident of molestation took place. We have called them for questioning,” the officer said.

The development came after a Raj Bhavan employee complaint of molestation against Governor CV Ananda Bose.

West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose has asserted that no inquiry can be conducted against a Governor during their term, citing constitutional protection under Article 361 of the Indian Constitution.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the West Bengal Congress President, hinted on Friday that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee might take drastic action against Governor CV Ananda Bose amidst molestation allegations.

In an audio message released on Friday, Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose claimed that Raj Bhavan received a confidential report that political forces had planted one more person in the Raj Bhavan with sinister intent.

On Thursday, a female temporary staff member at Kolkata's Raj Bhavan filed a written complaint with the police, alleging Governor C.V. Ananda Bose of molesting her, with police sources confirming the incident after she approached the officer-in-charge at the Governor’s House outpost.

The Supreme Court has directed West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose to appoint six candidates as vice-chancellors (VCs) from a list provided by the state government, headed by Mamata Banerjee. This decision comes amidst ongoing disputes between the state government and the governor over the management of state-run universities.
