Notably, the development took place after Hemant Soren was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court on June 28. Soren was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged land scam case on January 31.

Final arguments were heard in the bench of Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay of Jharkhand High Court on Thursday. Appearing on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate, Assistant Solicitor General SV Raju told the court that false cases were registered against ED officials at the behest of Hemant Soren.

The court was hearing arguments from ED and Hemant Soren about Soren’s bail plea. During the previous hearing, senior advocate Kapil Sibal had argued on Soren’s behalf.
