A Trinamool Congress worker’s death on Friday and slogan shouting against former Calcutta High Court judge Abhijit Gangopadhyay on Saturday marked polling in West Bengal.

Gangopadhyay is the fourth politician in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections to have been served a notice for undignified remarks against women.

The former judge, recognised for his relentless pursuit of justice, often found himself at odds with the TMC government due to his judgments and orders.

The Trinamool Congress supremo referred to Gangopadhyay as a "BJP Babu" who was sitting on the bench, and made it clear that she would 'ensure he loses' if he contests the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
