"Joining the Congress was a mistake but 'subah ka bhula agar sham ko ghar aa jaye to use bhula nahi kehtey' (It is never too late to mend)," Indu said.

The Congress party has unveiled its lineup for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, revealing a list of 17 candidates hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal. 

"People will not tolerate them," Warring asserted while talking to reporters here. Former Punjab minister Malkit Singh Birmi and former MLA Luv Kumar Goldy rejoined the Congress.

Sources said Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former party chief Sonia Gandhi, and AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, besides other senior leaders and members of the CEC, are likely to attend the meet.  

Borah questioned the rationale behind joining BJP, highlighting concerns related to the fulfillment of promises regarding Scheduled Tribe status for six communities, job creation, and land rights for indigenous families.
