In the run-up to the upcoming Assembly polls in Haryana, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, Sunita Kejriwal, is set to unveil ‘Kejriwal’s guarantees’ in Panchkula on Saturday.

The Delhi government has taken urgent action amid the water scarcity crisis gripping the national capital. Seeking immediate relief, the government has moved to the Supreme Court to secure additional water from neighbouring Haryana.

Former Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, responded to the demand for a floor test by Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) supremo, Dushyant Chautala, with confidence, stating that he doesn't foresee a no-confidence motion happening anytime soon.

Suraj Pal Amu, the Haryana BJP spokesperson and president of Karni Sena, made headlines on Thursday as he tendered his resignation from the BJP, citing disagreements over the selection of an election candidate in Gujarat.

Khattar said the BJP will retain power at the Centre because people have seen the work the party did over the last 10 years.

Khattar was accompanied by incumbent Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who also filed his nomination papers for Karnal assembly by-polls.

"The BJP-led alliance will form the government with more than 400 seats. The people of the country want to see Narendra Modi as the PM for the third time," Khattar said here. 

The Nayab Singh Saini-led government in Haryana marked a significant milestone on Tuesday with its first cabinet expansion, ushering in a wave of new faces to bolster the administration.

"Hum na honge koi hum sa hoga, toh hamare Nayab Saini jaisa hoga (If I am not there, someone like me will be. They will be like our Nayab Saini)," Khattar said.

His destiny changed overnight, far beyond the expectations of many when he was announced to be the chief minister of Haryana, by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

Saini's political trajectory within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is marked by a steadfast climb through the ranks. His association with the party dates back to 1996 when he commenced his journey within the Haryana BJP's organizational structure.

Speculation abounds that Khattar is eyeing a Lok Sabha seat from Karnal, while sources suggest that the BJP's state president, Nayab Saini is being considered as his potential successor.
