The chief minister assured that the process for the same has already been started and soon the recruitment will begin, calling it a step for women empowerment. 

The Punjab government has made significant administrative changes by transferring four IAS officers who were serving as Deputy Commissioners in various districts. The transfers were announced through an official order issued by the Chief Secretary on Thursday.

"We have to launch a mass movement for safeguarding our environment so that it can be saved for our coming generations," said Mann.

In a riposte to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari's warning to terminate eight highway projects, the chief minister contended that the National Highways Authority of India's (NHAI) offered compensation was insufficient, leading to farmers' reluctance to relinquish land.

Writing on X, CM Mann stated, "As per our sports policy we will give ₹1 crore for each bronze medal players of Punjab..चक दे इंडिया." 

Mann's appeal comes as the AAP announces its intention to contest all 90 seats in the Haryana assembly polls, citing a desire for change among the electorate. Despite previous electoral attempts, the AAP has yet to achieve success in Haryana.

The chief minister was in Charkhi Dadri to address a rally.

"For the first time, around 3,000 AI-enabled cameras will be installed at the borders for keeping a check on smuggling of drugs, weapons, and other things from across the borders. The state government will soon recruit 10,000 more policemen in the Punjab Police for which notification has already been issued," he said.

"After some reporters asked about it, I said an apology is for mistakes, not for crimes. There is punishment for crimes. You committed crimes," said Mann without taking anybody's name.

The Centre claimed it was unable to arrange the required level of security at short notice. Sandhwan, on the other hand, was denied permission to visit Kentucky for a conference, with no reasons specified.

The Supreme Court of India has intervened in the ongoing protests at the Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana, calling on both states to work together to resolve the situation. This decision comes after the Haryana government challenged a previous order by the Punjab and Haryana High Court, which had instructed the removal of barricades that have been in place since February.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed a positive outlook towards working with Gulab Chand Kataria, the newly appointed governor of Punjab. Mann made these remarks on Sunday, following the announcement of Kataria’s appointment, which replaced Banwarilal Purohit. The major gubernatorial changes were revealed on Saturday night.
