The Assam unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) organised a candlelight procession near their Guwahati office, where participants displayed placards and chanted slogans seeking justice for the young doctor and her family. 

Borah lamented the breakdown of the united front, attributing it to overarching national political agendas.

Simultaneously, AAP withdrew its candidate from the Guwahati Lok Sabha seat, while confirming its participation in the Dibrugarh and Sonitpur constituencies for the forthcoming polls.
