Rameshwaram Café blast: NIA to probe the case, claim sources

At least nine people were injured when a blast took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield in East Bengaluru on March 1.

The probe into the blast at a cafe in Bengaluru has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), sources said on Monday.

 

At least nine people were injured when a blast took place at Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield in East Bengaluru on March 1.

 

A man wearing a cap, mask and glasses is the prime suspect in the case and is still untraceable, the sources said.

 

Four people have been detained for questioning in connection with the low-intensity bomb blast at a Bengaluru eatery, police sources said on Saturday.

 

The incident has taken a political turn with both the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party trying to milk it in their favour. While the Congress tries to find the connection of the blast with Mangaluru Café blast. The BJP has associated it with the Congress move to appease the minorities ahead of the polls.

 

Rameshwaram Cafe is a South Indian chain of QSR modules in Bengaluru. It is a trademark registered under the mother company M/s. Altran Ventures Pvt. Ltd.
