Gunfight erupts in J&K's Doda between forces, militants

A fresh clash occurred between security forces and militants in a rural village in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir early Thursday, according to officials.

 

The confrontation took place in Jaddan Bata village in the Kastigarh area around 2 am when militants fired at the security search teams, as per the officials.

 

The exchange of gunfire between the two parties was ongoing at the time of the latest updates, officials stated.

 

After the killing of four army personnel, including a captain, in a skirmish with militants during the night between Monday and Tuesday, a large-scale search operation was initiated in the Desa and nearby forest areas.
