Deepika enters Archery quarter-finals, Bhajan Kaur exits

Deepika Kumari reached quarters of the women's individual archery round by 6-4 held at Paris Olympics after winning against Michelle Kroppen from Germany in Round of 16.

 

Her start was terrific with a 2-0 lead in the first set but, her second set tied, won in third with 5-1 and lost the 4th set.

 

She managed to reach the quarter-finals for the second time in her Olympics career with a final score of 6-4.

 

Bhajan Kaur however, suppressed under pressure, exits from the pre-quarters.

 

She played against Diananda Choirunisa from Indonesia and lost her first and third set to her.

 

She went for a shoot-off after winning the last set however, she failed in that too and marked her ousting from the Olympics.
