Punjab govt to hold talks with farmer leaders on 15th February

The Punjab administration will be facilitating a meeting with the Centre through a video call, as per the sources.

The meeting between Farmer leaders, the Punjab government and Central government was postponed till 15th of February due to certain delays.

Farmer leaders were supposed to meet with top Punjab government functionaries today at Punjab Bhawan at 6 pm, sources said. 

 

The Punjab administration is facilitating their meeting with the Centre through a video call, official sources further confirmed. 

 

Earlier today, Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal stated their readiness to conduct talks with the Central government regarding their demands, including a legal guarantee of minimum support price. 

 

"We do not want to give any room to the Centre for saying that it was inviting us, but they did not accept it. That we have accepted and we are ready for talks," he told reporters at the Shambhu border.
