Director Nag Ashwin's ambitious 3D spectacle, "Kalki 2898 AD", has achieved a remarkable milestone by grossing over Rs 800 crore at the worldwide box office.
This impressive feat makes it one of the highest-grossing Indian films globally.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, "Kalki 2898 AD" is the most expensive Indian film to date, with a budget of Rs 600 crore. The mythological and sci-fi action drama was released on June 27 in six languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
The film boasts an ensemble cast, featuring legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, alongside Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Additionally, the film stars Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana in key roles.
The production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, shared a poster highlighting the film's impressive box office earnings, with the caption "THE BOX OFFICE ON FIRE #EpicBlockbusterKalki in cinemas". This achievement solidifies "Kalki 2898 AD"'s position as a landmark film in Indian cinema.
