Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to deliver a speech at an election rally in Agartala on Wednesday, as confirmed by a state BJP official.

Modi's arrival is anticipated at 1:45 pm, followed by his journey to the Swami Vivekananda ground for the public gathering, informed BJP's state general secretary, Amit Rakshit.

To ensure stringent security measures during the Prime Minister's visit, a no-fly zone for helicopters and drones has been designated in the state on April 16 and April 17, stated Tripura West District Magistrate, Vishal Kumar.

However, commercial flights will retain access to the state's airspace.

Approximately 1,500 personnel will be deployed to establish a three-tier security perimeter around the Prime Minister during his visit to the northeastern state, Kumar further added.

In addition to Chief Minister Manik Saha, various state BJP leaders are expected to be in attendance at the rally.
