BJP leader Javadekar predicts electoral surge in Maharashtra amid 'Modi wave'

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prakash Javadekar has exuded confidence in the party's electoral prospects, citing a projected increase in seats compared to the previous election cycle.

 

Speaking from Pune, Maharashtra, Javadekar emphasized the prevailing "Modi wave" across the country, attributing it to voters' aspirations for a promising future under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

 

"Last time in Maharashtra, we secured 41 seats, but this time we will get more," declared Javadekar. "There is a Modi wave in the country because people are thinking about their future and are voting for PM Modi. We are confident that we will cross 400 seats."

 

Javadekar's assertion comes amidst the ongoing fourth phase of general elections in Maharashtra, where 11 out of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies are witnessing polling.

 

As per official data shared by authorities, a voter turnout of 6.45 per cent was recorded by 9 am on Monday.

 

Polling, which commenced at 7 am, will continue until 6 pm across constituencies including Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi, and Beed.
