Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant’s office has confirmed that he discussed Israeli military's readiness in light of Iranian threats with US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin.

In recent developments, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has engaged with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to address the escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon. The meeting, held on Monday, emphasised the critical need to prevent further escalation of the conflict in the volatile Middle East region.

The World Court, also known as the International Court of Justice (ICJ), has issued an urgent order for Israel to immediately stop its military offensive in Rafah, a city in southern Gaza. This ruling is a result of a case brought by South Africa, which accuses Israel of committing genocide.

The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, recently held a phone call with Israel’s Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, reinforcing America’s stance against Israel's proposed major military operation in Rafah city of Gaza. Blinken emphasised the urgent need to protect civilians during the conflict.

Earlier this month, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said, that Sinwar is going “hideout to hideout for his safety” and also he is not leading the military operations in Gaza.
