Outgoing CM Naveen Patnaik's confidante VK Pandian decides to quit active politics after BJD lost to the BJP in the state.

Senior BJD leader VK Pandian challenged the BJP to announce its Odisha CM candidate, asserting that naming any current state leaders would result in the party receiving less than 10% of the votes, while also accusing the BJP of "day-dreaming" about governing Odisha since 2014, during his campaign in the Sundergarh Lok Sabha seat.

The bureaucrat-turned-politician said this while meeting a group of journalists at Gopalpur in Ganjam district on Wednesday.
