The notice, dated June 6, was disclosed to the media by VMC's standing committee chairman, Shital Mistry, following concerns raised by former BJP corporator Vijay Pawar.

The boat, which was carrying students and teachers on a picnic, capsized due to overloading and insufficient life jackets provided by the service operator.
