The Dharchula Vyapar Sangh has cancelled the membership of 91 traders, mostly Muslims, and its members have stopped them from opening their shops over the past three days.

The recent Haldwani violence in Uttarakhand has gripped the nation's attention, shedding light on a series of disturbing events triggered by the demolition of an illegal mosque in the Banbhoolpura area of the town. 

Abdul Malik, allegedly instrumental in the establishment of the madrassa and vehemently opposing its demolition, fomented violence in Banbhoolpura.
