The CBI has taken over the investigation into the tragic deaths of three UPSC aspirants in Delhi’s Old Rajinder Nagar. This development comes after the Delhi High Court ordered the central agency to take charge of the case due to flaws in the Delhi Police’s investigation and concerns about potential corruption by public servants.

The UPSC granted her a "final opportunity" to submit her response by 3:30 pm on July 30 but she "failed to submit her explanation within the prescribed time", the commission further said. 

"The UPSC chairman had tendered his resignation citing personal reasons over a fortnight back. It is yet to be accepted," a source said. 

The account in question, @dhruvrahtee, described itself as a fan and parody account not affiliated with Rathee’s official account.

Thirty-two-year-old Prashant Suresh Bhojane, whose mother works as a civic sweeper in Maharashtra's Thane city, preserved against all odds and cracked the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam.

A total of 11 candidates from the Jammu and Kashmir UT managed to crack the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) data most prestigious examination in the country after results were declared on Tuesday.

Siddharth Ramkumar, who stood fourth in this year’s UPSC exam, had secured 121 rank in the civil services exam last year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to all the successful candidates of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023, emphasizing the pivotal role they will play in shaping India's future.

"On receipt of centre change options from the willing candidates through any of the above modes, they will be allocated to the venues of their chosen centres and accordingly, a message confirming the change of centres shall be sent to each such candidate on his/her registered mobile number," it added.

In view of the stand taken by the Manipur authorities, a bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan observed that the examinations may be held outside the state, as was done last year, and asked the UPSC counsel to take instructions.

In an apparent reference to the appointments made by PSCs in the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states in the last five years, the CM said only 4,590 appointments have been made in Madhya Pradesh, 11,535 in Maharashtra, and 8,890 in Gujarat.

Union Minister of State for Personnel, Dr. Jitendra Singh, presented the bill in the House, emphasising the need to address the rampant incidents of question paper leaks and cheating that have adversely impacted lakhs of students across the country.
