The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), under the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), has undertaken a major initiative to enhance the baggage delivery system at six major airports in India: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.

Air India, Indigo, Akasa, SpiceJet, Vistara, Air India Express Connect, and Air India Express, have been issued a final warning to implement measures ensuring timely baggage delivery. 

During the event held in Hyderabad, Scindia announced that the current count of airports and waterdromes in the country, presently at 149, is anticipated to surpass 200.
