Motaz Azaiza, an independent Palestinian photojournalist, was named one of Time magazine's '100 Most Influential People' of 2024 on Wednesday for serving as the "world's eyes and ears" amid Israel's continuing military onslaught in the Gaza Strip.  

Time’s '100 Most Influential People of 2024’ also includes US Department of Energy’s Loan Programmes Office director Jigar Shah, Professor of Astronomy and Professor of Physics at Yale University Priyamvada Natarajan and others.
