Cambodia lost all its tigers due to poaching, habitat loss, and other factors. India is ensuring that all responsible factors are addressed and conditions are conducive to the reintroduction of tigers.

In February 2023, Kuno National Park welcomed an additional 12 cheetahs from South Africa, among them being 'Gamini'. Recently, Gamini, residing at the park, has given birth to six cubs, boosting the cheetah population at KNP to 27, inclusive of 14 cubs.

Tiger, an upcoming documentary film by Disney-owned studio Disneynature, will have Actor Priyanka Chopra as the narrator. It will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Earth Day, April 22.

The project aims to build a gravity dam across the Gola river in Jamrani village, with plans for a reservoir to provide drinking water supply to Haldwani, irrigation, and hydropower generation.
