Cricketer Yusuf Pathan will contest from the Baharampur Lok Sabha seat, whereas Kirti Aazd will fight from the Bardhaman-Durgapur constituency.

Withholding candidate details for five crucial seats, including Indore, hints at internal conflicts and strategic recalibrations within the BJP as Madhya Pradesh gears up for pivotal Lok Sabha elections.

BJD organisational secretary Pranab Prakash Das wrote in a post on X, "More than 10,000 people, including many professionals, have applied for party tickets for the coming polls. We strongly believe that BJD is moving towards a historic victory in this election with the blessings of 4.5 crore people of Odisha". 

According to the EC's policy, officers serving in their home district or completing a three-year tenure at a location are transferred before Lok Sabha or assembly elections to maintain fairness.
