A local Hindu organisation ABHM has claimed that youth are its members and two offered water of the holy Ganges on the premises as it is a Hindu temple, Tejo Mahalay.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Taj Suraksha, Syed Areeb Ahmad, confirmed that the woman, identified as Meenu Rathore, was stopped at the barrier and was not allowed to proceed further.

A fresh petition in an Agra court seeks to declare the Taj Mahal as Tejo Mahalaya, a Hindu temple, demanding a halt to Islamic activities. Scheduled for April 9, Advocate Ajay Pratap Singh filed the suit, citing historical books to support claims predating its recognition. Previous petitions on this matter remain pending.

The three-day 'Urs' event will take place this year from February 6 to February 8. The period is observed to mark the death of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who got the Taj Mahal constructed in 1653 on the banks of the Yamuna River.
