Justice Sachin Datta noted that the last date to file nominations was over and the election process has already begun. It is not possible to turn the clock back and allow the petitioner to contest the poll, he said.

On March 22 students union election to take place in Jawaharlal Nehru University. Counting of votes will take place on March 24, following which results will be declared.

Students can file their nominations from March 14 and the final list of candidates will be displayed on March 16, an official notice stated.
