Projections suggest that by 2030, the country could face a staggering 600 kilotonnes of solar waste, mainly originating from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

Around 10 solar projects in Bundelkhand aim to produce 3,000 MW of power, spanning districts like Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, and Mahoba. Notably, Jhansi will host three units. Since 2017, the Yogi Adityanath government has spurred development, attracting investors. An additional 29 projects worth Rs 30,000 crore were launched.

Officials express optimism that the PM Surya Ghar scheme will reignite interest in solar power among residents of Jammu and Kashmir, a region that has historically lagged in harnessing its solar power generation capacity.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to accelerating renewable energy adoption in the country.
