So far, three FIRs have been registered against Prajwal including the charges of rape, molestation, intimidation, blackmailing, and threatening. 

Sathish Babanna, an aide of Janata Dal(Secular) MLA HD Revanna, was arrested based on a complaint from the 20-year-old son of the victim. The man stated that he feared threat to his mother’s life after she was abducted.

"We will proceed for arrest with appropriate measures. There is a possibility of CBI issuing a Blue Corner Notice, which will speed up the investigation," the officials told the CM, according to a release from his office. 

"It (lookout notice) has been issued against him (Revanna) already. It was issued against both, Revanna and Prajwal. Anticipating that Revanna may also plan to go abroad, it has been done," Parameshwara said. 

Under a reciprocal agreement signed in 2011, holders of Indian diplomatic passports are not required to obtain a visa for visits to Germany, as long as their stay does not exceed 90 days.  India has similar agreements with countries such as Italy, France, Afghanistan, Iran, among 90 others. Under these agreements, not only diplomatic passport holders but also those with service and official passports can benefit from operational visa exemptions.

The police have information that Prajwal, who is the son of MLA and former Minister H D Revanna, has left the country, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s office.
