Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh provided detailed data, revealing that a total of 1,195 officers from Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) were inducted into these prestigious services between 2018 and 2022.

This study, conducted by researchers including those from the University of Oxford, UK, indicates a 17 percent increase in mortality compared to 2019 and is 1.5 times higher than estimates by the World Health Organisation.
