The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the inaugural Olympic Esports Games will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2025. 

Abdul Rahim, who hails from Kozhikode, has spent 18 years behind bars in the Gulf nation for allegedly killing a Saudi boy in 2006.

“Both parties affirmed their commitment to expediting the first wave of investment package worth USD 5 billion which was discussed previously,” the statement read. 

The joint statement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, issued after a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi de-facto ruler Prince Mohammed bin Salman, underscores the significance of dialogue between Islamabad and New Delhi to address their outstanding issues, notably the Kashmir dispute.

During his stay from April 6 to 8, coinciding with the final days of Ramadan, Sharif will also undertake Umrah in Makkah and offer prayers at the revered Masjid Nabwi Al-Sharif in Medina.
